๐ŸŒƒ Jose and Kerrie Gogh Online and Discuss On-Prem and Building Blocks

well done @josecgomez, thanks for stepping up to do that live and unscripted.

Itโ€™s nice to know I have another platform where I can post typo infested smart ass comments and get recognition other than just here on the forums.

Yes it is! I just got it for Christmas! It was an awesome set.

Most ERP companies do two major updates per year: Oracle NetSuite, Acumatica, SAP, etc. SalesForce does three major updates a year. Microsoft updates online services continuously through release rings but also has two major updates to Windows (H1 and H2).

@josecgomez you really did a great job. You represent us well (minus some of the rage).

Epicor should take note of how Salesforce handles releases. Itโ€™s night and day different. Salesforce has extensive tooling for admins to prepare for updates. And their documentation is detailed and released months ahead of time. They also donโ€™t break core functionality in every update.

Thanks

LMAO I have to stay employeed and keep a voice. I did try to push back on some of the things, and I hope that came through.

In the end, most of us arenโ€™t leaving the ERP it is simply too expensive. The hope is that they listen (they seem to be) and that we find that middle ground.

As a platform-as-a-service (PaaS), it is truly cloud native.

Agreed. And itโ€™s always been cloud native as a PaaS. Epicor is trying to be cloud native without a cloud native product. And itโ€™s not working.

You did great thank you for representing us

Thanks I tried to be balanced. I know I could have been more forceful but.. bees.. honeyโ€ฆ Epicor has already said they are looking for a middle ground which I think is where we will all end up.

All good man, I would never judge what you chose and didnโ€™t choose to press on and I appreciate that while you also have a personal interest in what happens, you continued to keep it inclusive of nearly everyone, not just your org. Glad you talked about stability so much.

Agreed you couldnโ€™t go in there all spitting fire as itโ€™d not look good. You did well countering all the Marketing speak even with the leading questions that were asked.

This was my only question.

I have nothing else to give.

LEGO is a very important topic too.

Lego Movie Rainbow GIF by Underdone Comics

Hereโ€™s a close up, it is exeedingly cool even the โ€œhardwareโ€ for hanging on the wall is lego bricks.

It took me 4 whole days to build it was massive and super detailed.

The lego-ception dude painting it is awesome! โ€ฆis that bob ross? or is it vincent? I canโ€™t decide if thatโ€™s an afro or not. lol

Come on man! Thatโ€™s Van Gogh painting the starty night. Like the Lego is meant to be โ€œthe stary nightโ€ tha Van Gogh saw while he was painting it. Its #Meta

My son has the same lego set. he loves to paint.

I have that set but havenโ€™t put it together yet. I did put the big LEGO UCS Millennium Falcon that I put together over COVID the build guide was only 400ish pages long.
