Why is the Kinetic Enabled checkbox sometimes grayed out and unclickable even if there is a Kinetic Application for the screen? I’m trying to add my layer as a Kinetic Customization to the Noncomformance app (Which I changed to Inspection Entry).
Weird thing is It originally wasn’t grayed out and it let me add my Kinetic Customization for this app.
I navigated to the menu id through its menu path (Production Management/Quality Assurance/Inspection Entry) and changed it, no problem. Before I could restart Epicor to see if my changes took, I used the custom search in menu maintenance to find the menu item and found my kinetic changes weren’t there and the option was grayed out. I then navigated back to the item using the menu path and found the same issue, kinetic enabled was grayed out. Not sure if this is a bug or if I’m miss understanding the new kinetic menu maintenance but insight or help would be much appreciated.
Also, clearing the customization out of the Menu General Options\Inspection Entry didn’t change anything.
Another detail I forgot to mention in the original post is that my classic customization used to have the same name as my kinetic customization. I was worried this would be an issue so I deleted the kinetic customization and renamed the new customization something else. Which didn’t fix anything.
I think it’s unchecked because the Kinetic information has been cleared.
Also, the Program Type being set to “Menu item” will prevent you from adding the Kinetic information back in. How did you clear out the Kinetic info? Mine are read only.
I just created a new menu item with the same info and it seems to be working. I believe there is a bug in the Menu Custom Search that clears the customization fields. When you open the menu item using the menu search instead of finding it in the path the customization fields are blank.
I think that’s how those fields got cleared. I might have noticed the classic customization field was blank and filled it in with my customization and saved.
