Labor collection

In my experiences, Data Collection is the way to go. If you have someone
enter the labor in Labor Entry, there are now two chances for mistakes to be
made. First is the employee could fill out the time card incorrectly,
secondly the data entry person could enter the data incorrectly in the
system. DC helps to eliminate a lot of this, because employees need to
verify all information is correct before continuing. It does not eliminate
all errors, but it helps. Also, you get real time data, which helps
considerably in customer service issues.

Who has a good solution for labor collection? The Vantage option doesn't
seem reasonable simple for us. It's quicker to do manual entries. Please
advise. Thank you.

Rather than fight the Data collection battle, if you deem that it is quicker to do manual entries...and you determine that this makes business sense for your organization...then do manual entries and have someone perform data entry in the Labor Entry program.

What you are interested in (at least in my opinion) is accuracy. Doesn't matter to me how it is obtained...as long as you get it!

The advantage to this method is it can...in certain instances...facilitate accurate labor transaction recording on the shop floor.

The disadvantage is you give up timeliness since the day will be entered a day (or at least a shift) later.
