Labor Detail Report Problems

Hi Sue,

Sorry about that. It is written in Report Builder. I think I go it fixed
but now I don't have any indirect hours. I changed the join to the JobOper
table to a Inner and the hours are totaled correct. Now I need some way of
including indirect time for each dept.

Darren

I am trying to create a summary report of labor details for the current
fiscal period as well as comparing to last months figures. The Report is
grouped by Dept. using JCDept field and has joins to JobOper, GLSys, and
JCDept. All joins are left outer. The problem is that the totals are not
correct, for example one of our dept's of one person showed 763 total hours
for last month. All fields are overstated by multiples of 4x or 5x. Where
should I look for this type of problem. The fields are primarily aggregates
based on calculated fields to separate setup and labor hours. I have been
experimenting for two days on this but cannot make any more headway. Please
offer some new approach.

Thanks

Darren,

Are you writing the report in Report Builder or Crystal? I have a labor
detail report already written that I could send you. It compares last year
to this year for a specific period. I originally wrote it in Report Builder
but have since written it in Crystal.

I am trying to create a summary report of labor details for
the current
fiscal period as well as comparing to last months figures.
The Report is
grouped by Dept. using JCDept field and has joins to
JobOper, GLSys, and
JCDept. All joins are left outer. The problem is that the
totals are not
correct, for example one of our dept's of one person showed
763 total hours
for last month. All fields are overstated by multiples of
4x or 5x. Where
should I look for this type of problem. The fields are
primarily aggregates
based on calculated fields to separate setup and labor
hours. I have been
experimenting for two days on this but cannot make any more
headway. Please
offer some new approach.

Thanks
