Lot Charges, RFQ's & Price Breaks

We are high volume and do have repeat orders, but we build to order (not forecast). Thanks for the response.

Lisa,

We have modified the Job Tracker to calculate a per each cost on the
operation browse to view this, however you need source code to make this
change.

Are you a repetitive or high volume type manufacturing company?

Hello.

We are piloting and have not gone live with 5.10 yet. As we are piloting we
are trying to figure out how to have Vantage display pricing for lot
charges. This is mostly applicable for our outside services. We may send
out 100 pieces for a subcontract operation. The Vendor will quote $100 for
the LOT. The lot today may be for 100, but the lot next week for the same
part may be 50. Therefore, the cost is determined by the lot size. We
understood that the Base Price field in the Price Break Table was meant for
the Lot charge purpose. But, this base price will pull into the
subcontract operation as the UNIT Price. It would be nice if the price was
divided among the quantity required to give the real unit cost.

Anyway, I just wanted to be sure that we are not doing something wrong and
that there is not a way to handle lot charges that we don't see.

If anyone has some input I would love to hear how other companies handle
determining unit cost when vendors quote based on lot size.

Thanks a bunch!
