Mike,

I had the same problem a few months ago. I opened a ticket with Epicor support and they had me try several things and none worked and I finally gave up. I then had another issue with MRP which they gave me a fix for which also fixed this issue.  Below is the SCR bundle ,It fixed both my MRP problems. The only strange thing was that the descriptions of the SCRs didn’t reference my issues exactly but fixed my issues.

SCR 162052 - Create MRP / Scheduling Bundle

For 10.0.700.4, this retro includes:
SCR  141261 - Calculate Global Scheduling Order - Process takes an hour to run in Epicor 10 but only 15 minutes on
SCR  144016 - Multi Resource Scheduling Board - multi resource scheduling board it is taking up to 4 minutes to co
SCR  145707 - Process Multi Level Pegging -  Process is not Running on a customer database.
SCR  149442 - Scheduling Engine - Improve performance eliminating use of the indexers.
SCR  149678 - Process MRP - does not populate a job s Creation Date
SCR  151132 - Scheduling Engine - Scheduling loops between assemblies and subassemblies when running on a customer
SCR  153717 - Calculate Global Scheduling Order - Process abandons and do not complete
SCR  154458 - Process MRP should continue running if one processor fails.
SCR  155695 - Scheduling Engine  - Daily Production Capacity is not calculated.
SCR  158803 - Multi Resource Scheduling Board - takes the same resource for more than 1 scheduling block when movi
SCR  159804 - Scheduling Engine  -The capabilities cannot be scheduled.
SCR  160152 - Process MRP - Process Hangs and MRP log says that "The connection s current state is broken"
SCR  162430 - Process MRP - Inserting duplicate records when firming a job

I am wondering if anyone else is having similar problems in E10.0.700.4 or in E10.1.400.xx versions.

MRP is not able to create suggestion job for the first demand, but then goes on and creates a suggestion job for the second demand for the same part

I don’t know how many checks you are printing or if you are already doing this, but we’ve had that issue forever and we just take the correct number of checks to print for that run and reverse order them,

so they go into the printer with the lowest number on top.

The easiest option would be to see if the printer driver under properties has an option to print last page first. Not all printers drivers have this option so you’ll have to look under properties of the printer driver and you might just get lucky.

Well, I just walked over to my accounting team and asked them the same question.  They actually reverse all the checks!  If anyone knows of a printer reverse the order, please let me know.  What a waste of time.

Other than manually sorting them in the opposite order before loading them, I don’t think there are other options.

When you buy checks, you can have them sent to you reversed. It’s quite convenient.

The other option is to change the sorting on the check form. On the SSRS version of the check form it’s sorting in ascending order by check number. All you have to do is change the sorting to be descending order and it will print the last check in the batch last-  first.  If you use Crystal report forms, it should be exactly the same change.

Well, I just walked over to my accounting team and asked them the same question.  They actually reverse all the checks!  If anyone knows of a printer reverse the order, please let me know.  What a waste of time.

The easiest option would be to see if the printer driver under properties has an option to print last page first. Not all printers drivers have this option so you’ll have to look under properties of the printer driver and you might just get lucky.

First Off, Thanks for all the suggestions !!

I checked printer driver settings and no luck there.

I modified the SSRS report to change sort order on the Tablix and the Group and it seemed to work just as I hoped.

I saved as a new report name and tried to preview using exact same dataset that was used to preview the unmodified report and received error saying Invalid object name 'ChechHead_<GUID>' yet I could use same GUID to preview stock report !!

Did I ever mention how much I despise SSRS reports??

I finally saved as original name and it will preview in report builder - I will see what happens when they try a check run :/

Any method of printing in reverse order (printer driver setting or SSRS defiition) would still require having the exact number of checks in the printer when starting.

Is there a manual feed that allows several sheets to be installed at once?  Most manual feeds print on the "top" side of the sheet being fed.

Just spit-balling ....

SSRS does do some caching and why you can probably still preview the stock report specially since you didn’t make a change to it. The new modified report probably failed with that error because the data for that GUID has been purged from the SSRS database. It will do it pretty quickly, especially on checks unless you set the archive period to be > 0 days which is the default when you print.

I’m sure you’ll be fine on your next check run !

I am wondering if anyone else is having similar problems in E10.0.700.4 or in E10.1.400.xx versions.

Anyone running 10.700.4 should have that bundle in place if they are scheduling and using MRP
