Material Tracking

As part of the Issue Material step you could add a BPM that automatically timestamps the material issue to the job..  In E10 it is easy to add fields to existing tables so you might not need to put it into a UD table.

Then build a dashboard that displays these fields.  Dashboard can set to automatically refresh and if something is going to expire shortly you can have it display in red.

Since E10 is all SQL Server and .net if you have someone that can handle it you can also build a simple routine either using Epicor business objects or a non-Epicor routine that watches for things going to expire.  Routine could email or otherwise attract attention to items that will expire.

Good Morning,

We are on 9 getting ready to upgrade to 10 :) We are an aerospace manufacturer and lost of our material is composite. It can only be out of the freezer for a certain amount of time before it needs to go into the oven or the material is no good anymore. I am wondering if anyone else has figured out a good way to track material in / out times and remaining life on the material. Right now we use sheets of paper with times handwritten down. I was thinking some sort of UD table with a custom entry screen. We would like to make a dashboard so the supervisors can monitor the amount of life remaining on the material so that it gets in the oven before expiration. Any ideas would be great.

Thanks
