Hey Joe, we did not go so fancy as All-in-One's, but we did an
implementation with ELO 12" touch screens in our shop running the MES.
The navigation is done as a combination of touch and barcode scanner
configured to ASCII Full Character (so you can get Tab and Enter
navigation) as well as ALT-KEY Emulation (to use hot keys like ALT-P for
Start Production Activity). All the data entry we require from those in
the shop is numerical data, so we did away with keyboards and a mouse at
each station and have a 10-key pad and scanner as the only input tools.
It works well, some of the fields are a bit small to "touch" into, but
using the barcode scanner to navigate seems to help. Some mods to the
MES would make it easier, but we haven't gone that far yet.
Hope this helps.

Subject: [Vantage] MES All-In-One Touchscreens v8.04.403
I am throwing this out to anyone who might have installed an All-In-
One Touch screen as a MES client for either Data Entry or just
Employee Clock-In / Out. We are considering the Pioneerpos XV series
or Tangent V8000s. I am asking for comments, feedback on how any of
this type of implementation went? What not to do or lookout for!
