MRP does not created Job for Sub- Assemblies but PO suggestion instead strange!

Trying to find out what went wrong here. I put forecast for the assembly (A) which has multiple child assemblies (set up view as assembly A1, A2, A3, A4, A5).

After running the MRP I could only see job for top assembly (forecasted item A) and 3 other jobs (A1, A4 A5 )out of 05 child assemblies and the other two I saw PO suggestion instead (A2 & A3).

Item A- Latest revision is Approved, item set up as Manufactured.

Item A1- Latest revision is Approved, item set up as Manufactured.

Item A2- Latest revision is Approved, item set up as Manufactured. (Why PO suggestion for this?)

Item A3- Latest revision is Approved, item set up as Manufactured. (Why PO suggestion for this?)

Item A4- Latest revision is Approved, item set up as Manufactured.

Item A5- Latest revision is Approved, item set up as Manufactured.

We havenā€™t changed any set up in EPICOR recently. I check everything which I could to find why job has not been created? Anyone can think or guide on this?

Is the item set as purchased at the site level and manufactured at the ā€˜partā€™ level?

no item is set as manufactured both site and part levelā€¦

Hi Vipul,

Are all approved subassembly revisions in same site as parent? You donā€™t have pull as assembly on any under the parent method(s) do you? Any chance the part number is incorrect on the ones getting buy to job? Actually are they buy to job PO suggestions or buy to inventory?

All Approved sub-assly revision on same site as parent.
No, its not pull as assembly.
Part number are all correct.
last one is interestingā€¦ in time phase I can see PO suggestion is created for buy to inventory but I can not find any PO suggestion to convert that in to PO at purchase management PO suggestion screen ,which is really strange. So , Job has not been created and now cant find PO suggestion as well.

What exactly does the text say in the source field for timephase? Does it say something like ā€œSuggestion For Warehouseā€? Want to show screenshot of it plus perhaps the method of the parent expanded?

Refer the screen shotā€¦ Yes it says suggestion for warehouse A , it is our main warehouse which is correct as all suggestion created for that warehouse only.

Method for parent isnā€™t fancy we have not created MOM for it yet as we are only looking material at this moment. Child set as View as assemblies / no purchase direct ticked.

Just to update everyone I did run MRP again( Full Regenerative) strange that one of two missing job has now createdā€¦ still there is one part has PO suggestion. Really not sure what going on here.

Hi Everyone ā€¦ this is now solved.

The problem was one of the child part for the assembly was on HOLD so system was creating job for it but later delete the job and generate PO suggestion for it.

child Part status now corrected and job created by MRPā€¦
