Has been for the past several years. Vantage people also have Orange badge lanyards (cords to hang badge on). All so you can spot the right people to talk to. Really boring to sit at a lunch table with a bunch of ManFact or Vista people. This little change a few years ago really made the conference work a lot better.

Another suggestion for all the new sites. If not already planned make it a
part of your implementation budget to have at least one person attend
Perspectives. Not too late to register and since Caesars has no more rooms
anyway you have your pick of cheaper places nearby. Perspectives has a ton
of stuff that is great for new sites, especially the Hall of Solutions and
lunch time grilling table mates from experienced sites. The value received
by attending is tremendous. Besides....we need more orange tables. ;)

Welcome to the group.

One thing that really helped with our implementation is to have a test
database that is kept current. This will enable your users to try
something in the test database before doing it in the live database. This
works especially well if you have to reverse or correct an entry. Trying
to figure out if something will work in live data can create a lot more
problems if the fix isn't done correctly. All departments, including
accounting can then check and make sure the transactions did what you
expected.

In the beginning, making sure all of the default and variance accounts are
setup correctly is very important.

There are batch files you can run to copy the live data to a test database
that you can give the appropriate users access to for testing environment.
