Odd quirk with tracker dashboard - default row selection

I’ve created a dashboard with a grid view and a tracker view. When you first open the dashboard the data gets pulled in and Epicor automatically selects a row. The details of the row get populated into the tracker despite the three fields being selected as “prompt”. So even though its not prompted the user to enter data the info is populated. Users now have to clear the three fields and hit refresh to get back all the data.

I wonder if filter values for your tracker options are cached somewhere?
I haven’t seen your exact issue but have run into cache problems when updating/re-deploying dashboards.

Here are steps I’ve used before to clear up dashboard “weirdness”
a.) Dashboard → Tools → Reset Layouts to Default
save, re-deploy
b.) E10 → Clear Client Cache, log off/on E10

One thing I find annoying is that if the BAQ is sorted by column B and the dashboard by column A, the dashboard loads in BAQ order, selects the first row, then reorders it by dashboard sort. So now that selected row is no longer the first row, but one in the middle. And so the grid is pre-scrolled halfway down (or at the end), and it’s not even obvious that there are dozens or hundreds of rows above it.

First of all, I’d check that Auto-Refresh on Load is unchecked, that way it SHOULD wait for prompts. Then I’d make sure that the Input Prompts Only box is checked. If left unchecked, the boxes get filled based on the selected record, if checked, only entered values stick.
