I just got a chance to play with 10.2 as a test and wondering about the user experience with the active homepage. I would like to know what portion of end users at your companies are using it.
Only a few use it only for the fact that we have not created any of the EDD Gadgets for them yet. They do not want to use the ones that are provided by Epicor.
We plan on learning more about the Active Home Page at Insights and then we will gradually move users to that environment.
Plus for me … the white background (that can’t be changed) is blinding me.
I was playing around with creating custom themes and know that things like changing the tile group container color can be done like this. I could not seem to find a way that stuck using the app.
If you decide to try this please make copies of these files.
1 - Edit the application.min.css file in this folder
2 - Edit this portion of the css, changing just #FFF to another color, and save.
So I’m going to bump this again, (since I can’t make an overall dashboard with a URL). I’m, just playing with designing layouts, and I’m having problems with simple stuff, like just resizing tiles and groups. Every once in a while, I can get something to stick, but most of the time, things snap back to where they were, usually with size. Sometimes location. It feels like I’m back in the days of Microsoft word trying to “automatically help” and it simply not doing what you want it too.
Anyone successful in getting layouts set up nicely? If I start with a blank layout, does that help? @bconner any tips?
edit: it looks like starting from scratch makes it a little better.
