FYI, Dell has their own branded laser printers... Dell 3000CN lists for
$420 and the 3100CN list for $490 -- 25ppm B&W, 5ppm color, network
ready... duplex option for the 3100CN is another $299.

We just got a Xerox Phaser 6250 which we are happy with, although the costs
will be somewhat different (typically higher) this side of the pond..

Konica Minolta 2300DL with duplexer works real nice - not speedy, but the
pictures are worth it. Has builtin print server. You can check consumable
levels with a webbrowser. The duplexer cost almost as much as the printer -
that seems to be true with all of them. The Dell's get good reviews, but
you can only get toner from Dell. Check out PCWorld.com and click the
review tab.
The phaser seems to get good reviews, but the wax makes it hard to write
notes on the printed page.
