OFF TOPIC - Software and Devices for Time & Attendance

We used a product called Stromberg. I believe they were bought by
Kronos.

We used Epicor MES as a time clock on the floor for all shop employees.

I then created a SSIS package in SQL Server to read the LaborHed table
and translated it into "punches" that were automatically imported into
Stromberg at the top of every hour.

Stromberg had an eTimeClock feature so that anyone who needed to punch a
clock but didn't work in the shop could do so from their desktop.

It worked pretty nice.

We switched last year to a software product called Attendance
Enterprise. It has a scheduling function and a benefits add-on. We also
purchased a hand recognition time clock. There are a few models our
local rep had that worked with the software

Hi All

We are currently looking at replacing our time and attendance software and
clocking machine.

It's quite old and we cant get info that we need out of the software.

We dont use Epicor for T & A as it seems to be lacking somewhat and all the
office staff would have to clock on/off through it.

I am looking for recommendations.

We use Pegasus Opera for our Payroll (but integration between the T&A software
and the Payroll software is not essential).

We are looking for something to hold data such as expected days at work, days
holidays, absence, something to record overtime (time & a half, double
time)Â etc.

As for the capturing device, we are looking for something that uses finger
prints, hand recognition, iris etc.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

CHRIS

We're currently using TimeIPS and have been generally pleased. They have several options for capturing from keypads to magnetic/proximity cards to biometric and even remote clocking.

We haven't integrated with the payroll system, but it doesn't appear that it would be terribly difficult if we chose to.
