For those using the Order Job Wizard, here are some things to consider (this is tested through 8.03.400) and confirmed with Epicor support
Â
If you want to use the Select All feature, your non-stock parts must have process MRP = False. If your parts are set to process MRP = True, you can still override MRP on each line for the Order Wizard but can not use the select all functionality
Â
If you have large orders with multiple order lines and do not link on the order release, your jobs will process with the entire order quantity for the line, not the individual release (which is fine). However, if you do not link each release (which again for large order line quantities can be time consuming) the Ship All functionality in Customer Shipment Entry will not allow you to bring in Our Requested Quantity, as it does not know whether you want to ship from stock or from the job. Your job number created in the Order Wizard will display but both the quantity from inventory and quantity from manufacturing are both open. This is a nice feature if you have overruns for your non-stock parts and occasionally want to ship from stock
Â
The only way around not having the Ship All functionality is to set up your personalization to see Our Requested Quantity, copy to excel, and then paste update into the from manufacturing or from inventory and then adjust acccordingly
Â
Hope this helps those that have had questions about this topic
