Orphaned Purchase Orders 6.1

Pretty much same list, the tune is a little different, but then, it's nearly summer. I'm sure I will have lots of really newbie-type questions, since I tried really hard not to think too much about Vantage while I was out. People are moving to V8 -- thought that would probably be happening.

By the way, Vantage tech did send me a POCLOSE.R program -- that expires 5/27/06! It fixed my problem!

Well, hello! I've been away for a LONNNNGGGGG time, now back with what I suspect is a "dumb-bell question." Bet you all thought I was gone for good!

Vantage 6.1 Purchasing module. Buyer begins to enter P.O., gets a number, gets distracted, closes without entering any info for the P.O. header. Now the P.O. is in the open P.O. list, but if you open it you get a "No PO Header Record is available" message, followed by "Error encountered attempting to push run-time parameters onto the stack". On hold with Vantage Tech for ten minutes and counting.

My question: is there some way to clear these non-POs out of the file? Can't delete or close. It seems to me that there is, but I'm practically re-learning my job, so any help out there would be appreciated!!

I can't be the only one with distracted buyers!

IIRC, there's a utility under the "Database Conversions" (or whatever
that's called) menu that will delete or close PO headers with no line items.

I had buyers get ticked off 'cause they'd intentionally create such
orders to reserve a number for verbal orders, never get back to enter
them, then have them deleted when I ran the thing, hehe.
