I'm looking for suggestions for digital projectors. Looking to spend <
$3,000. It'll be used for Powerpoint Presentations, webinars, Vantage
training/demos, etc. We will use it in both small (4-6 people) settings
as well as plant meetings (50 people).

I've been looking at HDTV projectors with 2800 Lumina for my home. They go
up to 100". I would keep an eye on E-bay. If your carefully you can really
get some great deals and save 70% on the unit.

We purchased an Epson PowerLite 700c a couple of years ago. I does exactly
what you want, I'm sure a newer model is available.

We have a Proxima Ultralight LSI we bought seveal years ago and it has
worked great. Having a projector has been one of the best investments in
training we have ever made. We will use it shortly for group reviews of new
features and screens in the releases between 4.0 and 5.2. Better than
huddling around a desktop monitor. Look for ability to view in a lit room,
remote mouse, resolution and replacement cost of bulb (can be huge % of
projector cost). If possible try before you buy. We rented one for a few
weeks.

Lee, the lamp's die a slow death, in other words if you did purchase a new
one and kept the old one as backup up you would probably notice a much
brighter picture.

A lumen is a cross between a lemon and a legum, See the FDA minimum daily
requirement for an adult. Actually, a lumen is a measure of brightness.
The higher the number the better the picture. More lumen means the
difference between turning out the lights in your conference room or leaving
them on.
