Under the General Tab:
Server Type:=Other
Provider Name: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Driver
DataSource: "Insert the name of your ODBC DSN Here"
All other fields on this tab can be left blank.

On the security tab choose "Be made using this security context"
Then enter your ODBC username and password. For us, its the default
sysprogress/sysprogress.

Hope that helps.
Jeremy

Subject: [Vantage] OT Linking SQL Server to Vantage

Good afternoon all.

Recently I noticed that somebody posted that they were using SQL server's
Linked Server option to connect to Vantage. I've been struggling getting
the options correct to enable me to access the progress database. Could
anyone tell me the correct settings that should be entered in order for this
to work?

TIA
