Part Shelf Life

Shelf life is used for those compounds that are good for a specific
period of time. Many items, once mixed (or purchased) are viable for a
period of time. Those lots can be recorded with a life span. This field
is informational only however it could be used in a BPM to calculate the
expiration date of a lot. I have a number of customers that create
compounds to be used at a later date.

A question was presented on the use of "Shelf Life", which is found in
Part Maintenance. Help, in this release, defines this as a field for
use in a future release.

Is anyone using it and on what release? If using it, would you provide
some information on its use.

Thanks.

Usually when they "future release" it means new version...so basically
version 9...every so often a new service pack, but not a new patch.
