Any idea why I see different last material costs?
Hi Eddie,
Is it possible that the receipt date does not jive with last cut PO? We have had some difficulties with receiving out of order POs in regards to last cost before.

Possibly an interesting datapoint, if I look at purchase advisor I do see the cost listed in Part Tracker. The really weird thing is it was the cost we paid the first time we bought this part, it’s the opposite of the last material cost… Is it possible there is some process we need to have running to update the PartCost table and maybe we don’t resulting in old data for part costs?
Depending on how in the weeds you want to get…
I know that we have had issues where our costs don’t agree with the Supplier cost - and one reason we have is that we buy in a different currency. Another thought is that there may be tariffs or other miscellaneous charges that get tacked on which contribute to a different “landed cost” versus what you actually put on the PO line.
Just some suggestions to consider.
What type of transaction was that last purchase? PUR-STK, PUR-MTL? PUR-MTL transactions do not seem to update the last cost as it never hits inventory.
That’s another good point. I have played that game with MFG-CUS transactions!
