Personalization/Customization Question for 6.1

I'm still on 5.1, but menu security for Job Tracker allows you to lock
anyone out of Job Cost...does that help? Then you don't have to customize
each user.

I am trying to remove some fields from the operation detail table in
Job Tracker. I initially tried using Customization privileges to

I am not positive but I do not think it works :( You have to wait until V8
and create a dashboard. Security in V6 and below as far as I am concerned
is below average to very poor. Sales people can change the reps at will.
Financial info all over the place.

Remove the fields, and then right click on the grid and save settings. Be sure to save all the screens (OK) all the way out.

I just tried it here with customization. It worked for me. I gave
customization privilege to the default data collection user (here
shop/shop). Then I start ShopFloor. I then put in my number to log in.
Then removed the field. I logged out, and then back in as another user
(number) and they can't see it any longer. Remove Customization ability for
the shop user and you are all set.
If you have not tried it from the ShopFloor/Plant Floor interface, give it a
shot, maybe that is the difference.
