POLL: Printing in Kinetic - What are you using and what's the general advice?

What are you using to print. We are trying to use the kinetic client to launch epicor and use kinetic forms.

Is that a bad move? Should we be using browser + edge agent for printing? I guess part of me doesn’t want to have to install that edge agent everywhere if I don’t have to, but is that best practice?

  • Browser with Edge Agent
  • Kinetic Client - Kinetic Forms - Client or Server Printing w/o Edge Agent
  • Kinetic Client - Kinetic Forms - Client Printing or Server Printing with Edge Agent (not sure if this is even possible)
  • Kinetic Client - Classic Forms - Client or Server Printing (no edge agent)

I use Kinetic Forms in the browser with the edge agent client side.

We are exploring using the edge agent in server mode.

Mostly I still use the classic client though.

Yes I forgot that as an option. When I specified client or server in all the options I meant are you using client or server printing settings in company maintenance.

About the same as me. Mostly classic client, and Kinetic with client edge agent.
