Print error 525

I sent this an hour ago. I don't know if you got this or not, I did not get
it back. I am sorry if some of you get this twice.

I am not sure what the error message number was, but I had a printing
problem the other day. I opened the Crystal report that gave me the error
in Design view. Then I selected File- Print and printed it to the printer
I wanted to use. After that I was able to print my crystal report.

I would think that the Checks, being a Crystal report would act the same
way.

I did a search of old messages today and was sure I had one that covered just about every possible thing to try for printing issues but I could not find it.

So...from memory a few things to try...some may be solutions to different print issues than this one.

1. Uninstall and re-install the the Progress client and Vantage
2. Empty the user's local work folder (mfgwrk61 on 6.10) before starting Vantage
3. Copy CRPE32.DLL from the Vantage server folder to the client PC (wherever that file currently resides...probably system32 folder)
4. Open the Checks report in Crystal and re-verify the database location then save the report
5. Same as #4 but change the printer being used to be sure it is the same as what the user is using.
6. Same as #5 but first install for you and any users a fairly generic driver for the printer....avoid PCL 6
7. There are some patches on the Epicor FTP site ( ftp://ftpmpls.epicor.com/ ) related to Crystal - in particular one for database & export patch that fixes some printing issues. The FTP site uses site ID and password for access.

If possible to all of the above (especially 4,5,6) one at a time so see what actually fixes it - if any. If something works let us know. If it was me I think I would try them in this order....7,2,3,1,4,5,6

525 BADREPORTFILEThere is something wrong with the report you are trying to open.
