Printing route cards in vantage

We heavily modified the Job Traveler. It now prints one page per operation with a little sub-report to show the operations before and after each oper. There are places in the Oper Text to enter counts and sign offs.

In the upper left corner of the traveler is a section with all the job info (cust name, job #, part, part desc, etc...). This same section I duplicated in another Crystal Report to be a sheet of 10 labels. Runs from the same DBF files as the traveler. When traveler is printed the print a sheet of labels right afterward (or several sheets for groups of jobs) and send labels to the shop floor. They peel these off for bin cards - tag board cards in WIP pans or containers that they write counts on. Helps keep track of which oper parts have been through and how many in the pan. Labels have eliminated tendancy to not write the info on the bin cards (or not write clearly) and has saved thousands of dollars in missed operations or time looking for parts.

(5-30 pans per job). The associates manually complete the tags as
the parts go through the necessary operations. We want to print rout
cards with the routing information. We want the associates to only
have to enter qty. and date. Has anybody done this or know how?

Did this with report builder and have used it for 5 years.
We print pan tickets on 8-1/2" by 5-1/2" yellow paper.
Our operators sign each operation on each ticket as that pan of parts get
completed.
Idea is if you look in any single pan you know the status of it.
The Job Traveler is in the final pan or stack of pans, it has the print of
the part on the back, the traveler is also signed and the quantity completed
noted and placed in a plastic sleeve. This hangs on the machine while the
job is running.

The pan ticket prints the job number in a very large font something like 96.
The routing prints very small across the bottom, 2 records wide per line
with underscore fields next to the seq and work center for signing.

Works great.
