Problems printing AP Checks

We had an issue with this too. Epicor never could find a solution.

It doesn't make sense, but using a different pay group every time seemed
to fix our AP Check printing issues. Our AP clerk was using the same
pay group.

We just started having issues where the AP checks don't print on the first attempt. They do not show up in the print queue. We end up having to reboot the PC, run a test print out of windows, then go into Epicor and they magically start printing.

We've been using the same report and physical printer for years. We did reinstall the printer on the client PC and it hasn't resolved the issue.

I can have the AP person run a test print out of windows first, then go into Epicor and run the checks fine.

It appears Epicor is losing the connection to this printer although windows never does (they print checks weekly, this printer is only used for checks).

Setup:
HP P3005dn - network printer,
Windows XP,
Vantage 8.03.408b

Anyone else have this issue or have suggestions so they don't have to keep printing a test page before running checks?

Thanks!
Jenn
We have had this problem for a while. We are using an HP 4250 with external print server. Seems it works fine when we test while printing to other HP printers that have an internal server.
We have been testing with a 1320n, much smaller printer but have not had problems yet. We have only been using for about 3 weeks though so we will see. We are on 8.03.408 but this has been an issue since 8.0. The last I spoke with Vantage they said it was a "corrupt" user, but I don't believe it.
