Problems with 562 Patch

Ryan:
My calculations don't need to be as exact as yours, so no, I haven't had any
problem with that. We pay in 1/4 hr increments, so it works fine.
I hope you get it straightened out - I'm sure it's frustrating.

I was wondering if anybody else has installed and had any problems
with Vantage 6.1's 562 patch or Progress SP9 with the hotfix? We
have been experiencing some problems the last couple of weeks with
the payroll/labor collection module, and now some other issue have
cropped up since installing the patches.

One problem we have had is if an employee on the night shift clocks
out & back in during the lunch period, they are getting paid for the
remainder of the lunch period after they clock back in.

Another problem we have had is our day shifts are setup for 9.92
hours. If we go in to update either the labor or payroll detail for
an employee, even though the clockin & clockout times are correct,
the time gets calculated as 9.91 hours (instead of 9.92).

In order to try and fix these problems, Epicor recommended that I
install the latest patches as well as do a dump & load & reindex of
the database (pretty standard answer). I did not want to do this all
at the same time so I could identify what, if anything, fixed the
problem. This past weekend, I started with installing the latest
Vantage patch and Progress patch & hotfix, and now I am experiencing
some other problems:

1) The stock status report does not list all of the part numbers, and
it subtotals some part numbers but not others
2) It is not allowing us to split jobs the way we used to
3) The system is working more slowly in general (both server and
clients)

I am planning on doing the dump & load & reindex this Friday night,
but before I do, I wanted to see if anybody else has experienced any
similar issues before. At this point, I am very concerned about the
integrity of the database.

Any information would be much appreciated.

I don't know about all of the other things you mentioned, but as far as the
2nd shift lunch break - that has never worked right for us. It's very
weird, because my 1st & 2nd shifts are set up identical with the lunch break
etc., but if a 2nd shift person leaves during their lunch, it never has
treated it correctly (like it does for 1st shift). Luckily, it's a small
group here and I am able to catch it. We are on 6.1 also, and I guess my
point is that I don't believe that issued is related to your new
patch.......
