We are still in Vantage 8 and E9 may be different but we have found no smart way to do this other than brute force.
What we have done (painful) is to take a screen shot (we use Snag-It instead of standard screen shots) of each page in Company and entered identical or similar info in the new company. You will soon find that you have to have the chart of accounts loaded too and the same story goes there.
All the info in Company and for the GL is stored in tables so I suppose you might be able to automate this but manual is what we've used.
