Project Costs Blank Title 72256

Just trying to get my head around how Epicor (10.0.700.4 in this case but I assume the same for 9.x) tracks costs from a sales order. If I just want to tie a sales order line to a project phase and ship it, I'd think I'd see the cost of goods sold show up in the phase costs, but it hasn't so far.

Am I missing something?

Does anyone here track costs by Project?





If so, could you share any anomalies you had? In Project Tracker under
Project Costs, we're not seeing material costs hit this screen.



Just curious on the timing of when things are displayed here.....

I have been playing around with this and unless you link all PO's to a
job (as material) you do not see the costs in the summary. This is a
problem for us because I have been trying to use it for capital
equipment purchasing so there may not be a job associated with the
purchases. You would think you could at least see a total of all
purchases. I know that doesn't help you but maybe someone out there has
a solution.
