I agree. And its really starting to worry me. Have you seen their stock

Vent away, Darren. Snow Filtration was extremely interested in the
Vantage.Net module until I got the price tag! Epicor doesn't seem to grasp
the concept that reasonable pricing leads to greater distribution yielding
higher revenues.

I was just reviewing many of the new Epicor's listings for products under
their new elogo. I can not help but see that many of yours and my program
enhancements to modules in Vantage are now being developed as much more
robust, stand-alone applications or add-ons

robust, stand-alone applications or add-ons. It seems as if we are the
guinea pigs that are feeding the monster with new ideas to improve our
Epicor products but instead of giving us the benefit they have developed
these other applications that we will have to buy. I am really fed up with
the real lack of substance in the major release updates we receive for our
huge maintenance costs. I also looked at the enhancements for Cairo and see
how it lacks any hard changes to any of the modules. An example, there was
talk early that their would be more Warehouse related options such as bin
tracker and now I do not see it included BUT you can buy their NEW
eWarehouse application!!! This is BShit. NO Enhancements to this product
just tweaks and bug fixes! I sat through a APS seminar the other day and
was really impressed. It looks like a great product. The presenter even
said it was better than the visual scheduling we currently have. Why isn't
this an update to our scheduling then? Why should we have to pay more for
something that works better? What the hell does our maintenance fees go
for, Epicor? It's as if they are dangling a carrot in front of the donkey.
And I feel like the other word for donkey! They're taunting us - Here's the
REAL application over here with all the things you want but it will cost
you.

Another interesting comment I heard during the APS seminar, pricing for this
module is based on a per user basis but it can only be run on one machine at
a time!! Make sense???

I know we have had this talk before but I needed to vent. Sorry.

Darren,

Your scheduling and warehouse are good examples which should not be
separate modules. It is too bad that Epicor is going to loose most of
the good will they (Dataworks) developed with our maintenance fees.
Someone there should have on their marketing hat, instead of just the
profit hat. Profits will come high with a quality product, quality
service, treating your customers as customers, and not to nickel and
dime their customers to death. They should have the decency to include
those modules which solve problems and inadequacies of their current
product.
