Report Builder-Memos for Order Entry

It's been a really long time for me b/c I don't use RB anymore. However,
attached is a RB reprot I used to use for memo's linked to open invoices. I
now use MSAccess with ODBC for all my reporting so I haven't used this one
in a long time so I can't guarantee if it works. It was very slow to run,
if I recall. If you are familiar with ODBC with access, memo reports are
much easier with that method.

Could you give me some more detail on this, please? Thanks, Dick, for your
help. Tried that and it prints out the memo, but the same order number for
all. I couldn't get the link between OrderNum and Key 1 - it didn't even
give me the option of selecting Key 1. Maybe Sarah has my missing link.

I thought you also had to convert OrderNum to link it to Key1 since ordernum
is numeric and key1 is character?

got this from Epcor's web.
1. start with OrderHed as your master file.
2. create a calculated field called CalcTable (or whatever). In the
expressing type 'ORDERHEAD' (must be enclosed in single quotes).
3. Now you can join OrderHead to Memo (use a left outer join because
not all orders will have memo text). Your joins should look like this:
Vantage.OrderHead.Company --> Vantage.Memo.Company
CalcTable-->Vantage.Memo.RelatedToFile
Vantage.OrderHead.OrderNum-->Vantage.memo.key1

best luck. These can be a son-of-a-gun.

OK....I've beat my head against the wall long enough on this..... ;(

I need a report which will show any memos entered for any open Orders.
Currently, I have it to the point that it prints, but I can't figure out how
to get it to only print OPEN orders. If I try to link OrderHed to the Memo
table, I get junk - doesn't matter how I join (inner, left, outer). Same
thing if I try to use OrderHed as the Master (rather than Memo).

I'd really appreciate any thoughts.

We are on 6.0.
