We are in the process of reviewing requisitions. Is there a benefit to using requisitions over purchase orders?
There does not seem to be out of the box threshold settings with requisitions like one has with a buyer setup. So we were thinking that purchase orders might be a better process for what we are looking to implement.
Requisitions are good if you want to have management approve stuff that Purchasing does not usually handle the approvals for.
Let’s say a department uses a lot of consulting and the manager has a budget set. Instead of making purchasing get approvals, you allow people to enter reqs and send them to their managers for approval. If they are approved, they can be sucked into a PO and the buyer can just approve it.
