Yeah I was looking at the change log. One problem I find with the change log
is if you select a standard part a sales person can go back into the order a
week or 2 later and change the description slightly and exit out and the
change log won't pick this up!!.
I was hoping to use the steel bars set and forget approach instead of the
detective approach.

On phone at moment with Epicor. Tracking is now all controlled by Change
Log Maintenance in System Utilities. This is very cool! You can pick which
fields you want to track changes on. No more logging things you did not
want to log. Looks like 45 or more tables (lots anyway) can be custom
configured as to what to track. So no more check box in the module config
(but the help should be fixed).

That's where I was looking and the check box is not there. I'm not the only
blind one because our 5.20 implementation team all can't find it either.
The help screen mentions it but the field but it is not on the screen.
Right-clicking the screen to see the fields does not show it listed.
BookOrders Toggle box is listed and does show on the screen. Perhaps I
should call Epicor and see if there is a problem with 5.20.210. I can send
them a screen capture if necessary. We really want to track all changes if
we can.
Thanks,
-Todd

Todd,
I don't have 5.2 loaded at the moment, but both "Book Sales Orders" and
"Track SO Changes" are in Configuration Maintenance/ Company/Module
Configuration /Order Management Configuration. When we check the "Track SO
Changes", then EVERYTHING that happens to the sales orders will get
recorded.

" they added a "track SO
changes" feature. "
Speaking of which.... in 5.20 on the Order Management configuration screen
there is a check mark for "Book Sales Orders" which seems to track some
changes BUT there is no check mark for "Track Sales Orders" even though
this
is listed in the help for the configuration screen. Did Book Sales Orders
replace Track Sales Orders or is "Track" turned on somewhere else? We
noticed yesterday while reviewing changes in 5.20 that there seems to be
no
way to turn the tracking on and the Book log only tracks changes affecting
the value of a line (such as qty or price). We would like to log all date
changes as well.
Thanks,
-Todd Caughey
