Setting up of inventory

In 6.1 as you are entering a line in the upper right hand corner it will
show you what is on hand and what is available. At the release level you can
then determine how you want to fill the release. Make direct or pull from
stock, if you pull from stock you can then choose which warehouse. If you
flag as make direct a manufacturing suggestion will be on the planning
workbench in Job Entry.

I've done that already but how would u keep track of items with this
set to them besides the 'Stock Status' Report in Vantage6.1 though
and also sell from inventory. Because I've looked at the help
documentation and gave only a description not the steps or how it is
done. pls reply asap. thank you

hello everyone,

I'm trying to set up a 'finished goods store' inventory and I'm just
wondering if there is another way you can view the stocks besides going
to the 'Stock Status'(from Materials Management->Inventory Management-
>Reports->Stock Status) and 'Part'(from Materials Management-
>Inventory Management->Master File Maintenance->Part). Because I could
view some parts as set to the 'Finished Goods Store' warehouse or
inventory. Sorry about this I'm quite new to Vantage.

And also from the sales 'order entry' how to I go about recording a
sell of stocks from the same warehouse or inventory.
