Speaking of emailing in V8...CRM

I know that many feel the CRM in Vantage is weak but...

There is one really glaring weakness: you can't email attachments. Whatever
control that Epicor is using as it's email client does not have the ability to
attach documents: pdf, doc, dwg, na da.

We thought as a work around that we'd email the document under separate cover
but then link the attachment to the call log. Well....we can't link
attachments to the call log. Epicor has been able to duplicate the problem.

I had heard that one can drag and drop documents onto a record when the
attachment menu item and button are inactive. This did not work for the call
log.

Any thoughts on getting attachments to customers/prospects?
