Strange Crystal Behavior

On the Subcontractor Packing Slip I have added some fields to read:
[PACKAGES] packages shipped as [PKGCODE] so that is would look something like
2 packages shipped as Box

- instead it is reading: 2 packages shipped as Box TP009325
where the TP009325 is the job number

When I examine the SUBSHIPD.DBF in VNTGWK52 (open with Excel) the PKGCODE field looks OK (just Box) and the job number field looks OK as well (seprated from package code by the weight).

I can not figure out how Crystal is combining the two fields. When I click on it the legend at the bottom of the screen displays the correct field name (subshipd.PKGCODE). Again in the DBF file PKGCODE field containes just "Box" but when previewed or printed (Vantage or CR development) it has the job number appended to it. Very strange.

Anyone have any ideas what might cause this behavior?
(Vantage 5.20.313 - CR 8.5)

OK, it is still strange but now fixed. I have no idea what fixed it. I added two new fields (one alpha description and one from DB) right after the "offending" field and all of the sudden it is printing normal. I added 'Weight:" [Weight] immediately after PKGCODE and now it is just the code without the job number appended to it. Oh, well, as long as it works.

PS - I have seen no message from group (including my two prior messages) in 4 hours which is also pretty strange.

I'm not sure which is more strange: not seeing your prior messages, or the
Crystal behavior. What was the bizzarre Crystal behavior?

I had added two fields to the Subcontractor Packing List a long time ago - Number of packages and package code.

The looked like: [PACKAGES] packages shipped as [PKGCODE]
lately the value for package code has been showing the code (Box for instance) followed by the job number.

Something like: 2 packages shipped as Box TP009325 (where the TP part is the job number)
I checked the DBF file is it was all OK.

As soon as I added Weight: [WEIGHT] right after it the job number went away.

If you did not see the original message then at least it is not our spam filtering clobbering replies as I feared.
