In Epicor Kinetic is there a way that subcontract operations that we receive in a po that has a part that is inspection required, that you can avoid the inspection processing screen twice. The issue is that if you want the cost of the job that is tied to the PO you have to pass the parts in inspection processing as good. Even though they are bad but the operation needs to be failed then as a subcontract non-conformance in order for the cost of the job to carry over. Is there a way to avoid this to make the process run smoother and not have to revisit the same screen twice?
If Inspection Required is set on that part (at the PO, part, part class, or supplier level), then it’s going to automatically go to Inspection Processing. I’ve never found a way to stop that from happening.
If you can’t UNSET that flag, then you could write a BPM that automatically “passes” it through inspection, thereby making YOU only have to touch one screen. I know we (my Dev crew, not me) have done this.
