Tooling Job

We had the same problem when we upgraded to 4.0. For a temporary fix which
seems to work, I entered a bogus sales order and every time I need a
different job, we enter a new line on the sales order. This will generate a
suggestion for a new job. This also keeps you from having to enter a part
number in the part master.

We just upgraded to Vantage 4.00.812 last weekend. In 3.0 we could
enter a Job to make tooling without linking it to an order. Now we have
to link it to an order or build to stock, but Vantage won't let us
without entering the tooling part number in part file maintenance
first. Is there a work around for this?
