Trouble scheduling job

Doesn’t sound like an error, but more of a warning that the total time to build including O/S does not meet the requirement for the Sales Order.  So you can push out your job and be late to the sales order or push the sales order out to meet your capacity.

Unless I am missing something.

First warning is because you cannot start a job before today, company settings.

Second warning is because you wont meet the Order date.

Subject: [Vantage] Trouble scheduling job

Hi,

Just wonder if anyone can help explain a problem with manually scheduling a job.

I'm getting the following messages

- If I try to backward schedule; Override Mtl Constraints; Finite Capacity

-- this error

--- "The job cannot be scheduled for its requested date due to system setting".

- If I try forward schedule; Override Mtl Constraints; Finite Capacity

-- this error

--- "The job is currently scheduled to finish xx/xx/xxxx. It will not meet its required date of xx/xx/xxxx".

The job is linked to a sales order line with 3 release dates.
It appears scheduling is choking on a subcontract Op with a Days Out = 35
------ this pushes the due date of the whole job out beyond the req date.

In a test system I have only been able to get it to schedule if

- I reduce the days out on the subcontract

- or push the Req By date of the job out to >=  Due Date

I have an open call with Epicor & they gave me a list of things to look thru but so far no luck.
"Global Reschedule Started Operations" is checked in Company Config

Thanks in advance
