Using ShortChar on ECOMtl

We are on 9.05.606 so hopefully that will work for us!

Thanks

This is the correct way but there is a bug in 9.04 that keeps it from
working. We're using a BPM until we upgrade to 70X.

I would like to use Shortchar01 on an ECOmtl but when I check the part back in the shortchar01 does not flow to the Partmtl record. Argh! Any suggestions on how to do this?

You could achieve this with a BPM. Find the method that fires when you check a part back in and for the Pre-Processing on that method get the value from ShortChar01 and enable dependent post-processing in the actions. Use the value from ShortChar01 (along with the part number) in ABL code to update the part record.

Hope it helps,

-Ted

Go to System Utilities folder and open Custom Field Map. You need to map it both ways if you want it to go back and forth.
