V8.03.405a Ops Auto-resequence

Thanks, Charlie.

It is merely to make it easier for some of our folks to fill out time cards correctly. If one sees Seq 913, then one uses WC 913.

V8 doesn't seem to like these seq numbers & auto-resequences them to 10, 20, 30, etc, in 10-step increments. Is there a way to turn auto-resequencing "off?" Or another work-around?

Our shop has a canned set of ops that has to be copied into a job (obviously) BEFORE time is charged. It's usually the CAM programmer's job to do this. He adds Seq 1 for Tooling, Seq 2 for Tool Making, Seq 3 for Programming, Seq 500 for Hand Finish, Seq 550 for Assembly, and Seq 913 for Final Inspection. V8 doesn't seem to like these seq numbers & auto-resequences them to 10, 20, 30, etc, in 10-step increments. Is there a way to turn auto-resequencing "off?" Or another work-around?

You would have to add the set of ops and then manually change the op numbers after they are in the job operations.

But why? A sequence number is just a sequence number, why should it matter what the number is?
