Thanks everyone for responding to my message.
I worked with David Weiseth at Epicor Tech Support on this issue yesterday. He told me that Win2K wouldn't allow the install to
overwrite ProCtrl.cpl file located in \WINNT\SYSTEM32 folder. The real problem was to manually delete registry entries for PROGRESS
9.1A since it wouldn't uninstall by itself. I was suggested to start Win2K in safe mode rename ProCtrl.cpl to ProCtrl.old and
attempt installing again.
I probably will setup Pro Control for use by our less technical personnel who start their work at 6:00 AM and if we had a power
outage at night then they had to start Pro Control without my help, Progress Explorer looks little bit more complex for them at this
point.
Todd, I have downloaded your "Vantage 4.0 to 5.20 Experience" message, printed and attached it to Vantage Installation Instructions.
It is very helpful, especially the chronological part of it.
