Vantage 6.1

Let me preface by saying I’m new to Epicor and we are stuck with 6.1 with no plan to upgrade in the near future.

Running 6.1 and looking to create a new company within our existing 6.1 environment. Would like to duplicate an existing GL, including AR, AP, Payroll, and Inventory but cleanse the existing data. Previous person left no documentation, so working blind and any assistance would be very appreciated.

Thank you

Ouch I feel your pain. :cold_sweat::sob:

I think you will need a consultant.

We jumped over 6. Went from Vista 4 (FoxPro DB) to V8. But I think I have the install disks for Ver 6, if you need anything off of them.

Any idea where I’d find such a consultant?

I’m sure having install disks would be great to have.

I would look at the vantage.cfg file on the users computer. There should be a menuID for the startup. This will not limit the usage but fire up a startup program within vantage on that machine.

I see vantage.mfg, not cfg

Sorry, mfg

We were on 6.1 for years and then finally went to Epicor 9 in 2013.

Good Morning Charlie

I do not see menuID but maybe I’m missing it. The vantage.mfg is below. Also, is this something you are able to take on as a consultant?

[MFG Startup]
Executable=V:\prgs91d\bin\prowin32.exe
Database=V:\mfgsys61\db\MFGSYS
IniFile=V:\mfgsys61\mfgsys.ini
ParameterFile=V:\mfgsys61\db\mfgsys.pf
ConnectOptions=-N TCP -H tgerp -S 6100 -ld MFGSYS
TempDirectory=C:\Epicor\MfgWrk61
StartupProcedure=mainmenu.w
OtherParameters=-rand 2 -q -basekey ini
mfgsys=VN
mfglanguage=enu
mfgtranslator=yes
unicode=true
;MFGODBCpasswd=sysprogress
;MFGODBCUser=sysprogress
;MFGODBCDbse=mfgsys
;MFGODBCServer=Progress91D

Startup procedure. But I can’t tell you what to put there.
