Vantage 8.03 DMR procedure

I would check out Global Alerts. There is a specific one for when
Request Debit Memo Request has been created.

DMR's have been a confusing one here too. The biggest gripe I hear
is why the heck does the DMR CLOSE as soon as I complete the
disposition. The person that REJECTS the material is not the same
person that negotiates with the supplier on qty and price for
credit. I called it in, but Epicor believes it to be working as
designed...just not designed to work in the real-world.

We use the custom checkboxes with Global Alerts to notify purchasing
to begin negotiation but some do slip through the cracks...and are
usually the high dollar ones...go figure. We are just beginning to
dabble with BPM's...which should solve this issue. One thing at a
time...if you know what I mean.

I do have a process flow chart that demonstrates the flow...but no
work instructions. Reply to me offline and I can forward you what I
have.

I was wondering if anyone had a documented procedure for processing DMR's?Â
We have some disparity between departments as to what should be done for DMR's, especially when
a debit memo request is involved.  (accounting has no idea until they see a credit)
