Vantage 8.x Server OS choice

The current commercially available version of Vantage does not support 64
bit Windows. Supposedly, the .804 release currently in beta will support
x64 windows and, perhaps, one of the members of the group is currently
testing in that environment and could provide more details as to how it is
working. In the interim, if you need to address more than 4GB of RAM, the
Enterprise Edition of Windows Server 2003 can address 32 GB and the Data
Center Edition can address 64 GB.

Subject: [Vantage] Vantage 8.x Server OS choice

Hello Group,
I have been busy getting hardware ready for 8.x and now it's time to get the
server software in place. Due to a comedy of errors I had to reinstall the
OS on the server as I prepare to install V8. I installed Server 2003
Standard as the OS, but realized after a bit that with the server already at
4 Gigs (the max for this OS as I understand it) I might be wiser to install
it as x64.
Can anyone confirm for me that Vantage 8.x (Specifically 8.03/Progress DB
will run on MS Server 2003 Standard 64?
I appreciate any confirmation I can get even if it means I reinstall the OS
again to get it right.
Thanks,
Aaron Hoyt
