A user is getting the follow error when checking in a part rev. with Engineering workbench.
Description: An error occurred while updating the entries. See the inner exception for details.
Inner Exception: Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint ‘PK_PartMtlRestriction’. Cannot insert duplicate key in object ‘Erp.PartMtlRestriction’.
I get what the error is telling me, just why isn’t epicor able to figure it out?
Is there a way to remove the old PartMtlRestriction entry?
We just received the same error this morning, and I just put in a ticket with Epicor as well. If I get anything back, I will get it out here. Sorry I don’t have the answer yet.
Ken, I am not sure if my solution will work for you, but we determined that our error was occurring due to us not having MultiLevelEngineering enabled on our license. Once I enabled it, we were able to add new Revs in the workbench. I hope this at least gets you pointed to a solution. David
