Weird Task Agent Problem

In your progress explorer tool in the right hand tree view expand local
host, under databases youll see something like MfgPilot803, MfgSys803
etc...right click on MfgSys803 click stop, check status by right click
again, after you get a stop condition you can then restart it.

I'm new to Vantage. Where and How do you take down the Progress Schema
Holder DB Service? I have the same problem with my development task
agent.

If you could be of assistance, I would appreciate it.
Thanks

In my Test database environment I can't get reports to run.
Everything submitted to the Task Agent just shows under the "Scheduled"
tab in Task Monitor.

Main appserver, process server, and task agent are all running (I
restarted them), logs show nothing interesting.

I verified the ports are correct for MfgTest803.

This was working yesterday.

I noticed a blocked transaction in MfgTest803 in SQL Management Studio
(DBCC CHECKDB) so I killed it. Nothing else in the logs that's
interesting from SQL. Plenty of free space, etc. I can commit writes
to the database.

Ideas? Very strange and I'm sure its something simple.

I'd double check and make sure my propath's within the appservers are
correct. Then I'd double check the port numbers in the System Agent and
make sure they are correct.

You said you verified the ports right? Is the connection in the System Agent showing it's pointing to Test?

Did you check the login and password on the system agent?

Yes I did. After a bit of head-scratching, I took everything down including the Progress Schema Holder DB service and then it started working.

Did you change the SystemTaskAgent -- Task AppServer and System AppServer URLs to the correct Port numbers?
