What have people experienced with implementations a t small sho

I consider our company a 'small shop' - we have 100 employees and about
12 office Vantage users. We went live in November 1999 and currently use
about 50% of Vantage (I'm suitably embarrased!).
I don't know if this is of any use but with hindsight, I would have
'played' with Vantage for twice as long before trying to even think
about implementing it, doubled the time spent aligning our procedures
with the way Vantage works, do twice as much user training and doubled
our hardware spec.
Also I can confirm that if anybody in your company is not fully behind
Vantage then they are effectively against you and the time will increase
exponentially.
Having said all this, it's all probably due to my lack of experience at
the time and the rush to get 'something' working before y2k brought
impending doom upon us.

What have people experienced with Vantage implementations at small
shops? How much time has it taken to Implement Vantage to a point
that the system adds value to a company (2 weeks 4 weeks, etc.)
Granted this is a very small shop (less than 10 office users) and
only the basic modules are going to be used. Additionally, the
company is without any formal system currently.

Just curious what small shops have experienced with similar sized
implementations.
