What is "Startup Multicompany"?

Hi,
I’m trying to schedule a few processes and came across three options:

  • Now
  • Startup Multicompany
  • Email Processes

I understand that “Now” runs the process immediately. I’m not sure of Startup Multicompany. I scheduled a process with Startup Multicompany and it didn’t run at all.

Could you please guide me on where I can get an explanation for these terms and how it works with respect to scheduling? Also I’m trying to schedule a few processes to run everyday, any inputs (links/documents/comments) on how I can achieve this, would be very helpful.

Thanks.

Schedules are setup in the System Agent

Startup only lets you run it once at the start up of the setting up the schedule task and after that it won’t let you run it again. Typically multi-company runs about 10,000 records max per “now” or task schedule run. Startup allows it to run to complete.

Hi, are you referring to the Task Agent? If not, could you please guide me on where I can find the system agent?

Thanks.

Hi, thanks for clearing that. How can I schedule to run a task in specific intervals? I only have the below three options in my schedule screen:

  • Now
  • Startup Multicompany
  • Email Processes

Thanks

Hi,

You can create new schedule in system agent maintanence .In schedule type select Interval.

Hi, I checked the System Agent as mentioned, but I don’t have an option to specify which task is to be run. PFA, screenshot for reference. How do I mention which task is to be run?

Thanks.

You have to schedule the task by selecting the appropriate schedule you have setup in the System Agent.

Hi,

Select the process You need to run.For example Multicompany Direct server process .Select the appropriate schedule you created in system agent and check recurring. Once process submitted it will run as per the interval defined.
