What is the purpose of remmed out ODBC statements in the *.MFG

The statements allow the modified Crystal "Forms" to include subreports with
ODBC connections to the DB. They will not help with other Crystal Reports,
but Modification to the "Standard Forms" will need these to include ODBC.

We thought that un-rem'ing the statements might help us develop better
modified Crystal Reports but that doesn't seem to be even close. When we
open Vantage (6.10.521) and try to run a Crystal Report we get error
messages.



What is the purpose for including these statements? - for you old timers
this may be a dumb question but I've asked worse before.
