Now that I have had more time to think. I also changed the default printer
in crystal to the Zetafax Printer. This previews your form with the same
driver that it will be faxed with. That helped a lot. We changed margins
and fonts to make the form look better. Your hardware could also be an
issue. The inexpensive fax modems don't always do a good job of converting
the document. This was a BIG problem for us with all of the software we
tested, not just Zetafax. I finally purchased a fax board from Brooktrout
that worked very well with Zetafax.
I ended up spending much more than I planned since the Brooktrout boards are
not cheap but it was well worth the investment. The BT boards are faster
than a fax modem and very bullet proof. The time I saved in phone costs,
support costs and the like more than offset the investment.
Sales likes to fax our customers with promo's that have a lot of graphics.
A fax modem on the fine setting would take 3 minutes or more. Do that 300
times with each promo and you spend some money with Ma Bell. The BT board
kicked them out in under a minute each with a cleaner picture.
Of course your mileage may vary, it's a computer after all........

Hello all! After much deliberation my company decided to go with
Zetafax (Thanks to all who suggested it) as our new faxing software
and I have it and it is installed now, but I am experienceing some
trouble and wanted to know if anyone has any ideas why it might be
doing the folowing.....
When I try to fax from the software it comes through fuzzy and leaves
the bottom of the fax off... Any ideas?
